The “Classic” Italy Tour for Couples
Take a romantic gondola ride or a rowing lesson in Venice and then let a local private guide lead you through back streets and empty alleyways to show you the history, art and culture of this amazing city. Visit a Parmesan cheese factory in Parma and see how balsamic vinegar is made in Modena. We’ll also book you for a countryside drive in a Ferrari or for a tour at the Lamborghini factory. Then head to Florence, where the Uffizi Gallery cannot be missed, but where one of our private guides will introduce you to the Renaissance in a city walking tour so compelling you’ll look forward to coming back. Tour Tuscany by vintage vespa or bicycle, visiting the towns of San Gimignano and Siena, and go wine tasting in the Chianti region. Spend another day exploring southern Tuscany, in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Val D’Orcia. The “Romantic” Italy Tour for Couples
Skip the cities, this tour is about sea views and countryside vistas, with a glass of wine in hand. Fly in to Rome and head down to the Amalfi Coast to explore the iconic towns of Positano and Ravello. We’ll rent you a boat with a skipper for the day so you can explore the caves and coves and private beaches of the area, with a stop on the island of Capri. Do a cooking course or a hike with views, and drink limoncello by the sea. Spend a day at Pompeii with one of our fantastic private guides, and climb up the nearby Vesuvius volcano if you’ve got the energy. Balance the coast with some off-the-beaten track countryside time in Umbria. Rent a car and explore the region’s fantastic food, wine, and iconic towns such as Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto and Gubbio. We’ll set you up with a cooking class where you’ll make and eat dinner at a vineyard, toasting to your experience as the sun sets behind the Umbrian hills.
The “Active” Italy Tour for Couples
The Italian peninsula is criss-crossed with hiking trails and bicycle paths, but some of the most spectacular and user-friendly trails are up in the northern Dolomites mountains just a couple of hours beyond Venice. The Portofino peninsula and the Cinque Terre also have gorgeous seaside trails, or for couples that enjoy hiking between medieval castles or exploring a wine region, Tuscany is a great option for both hiking and biking. You’ll get plenty of exercise just climbing the many hundreds of steps in some of Italy’s most famous monuments such as the Bell tower in Venice, Giotto’s tower in Florence, or the Dome of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Italy also offers great horseback riding, hot air ballooning, and water sports.
